I had the opportunity to attend the John Moran Auction in Pasadena last week.  They had this Gem titled “The Sycamore” 30×26 inches by one of my favorite painters Nicolia Fechin.  I had never seen this particular painting before so it was a rare treat.  unfortunate the painting did not sell, maybe because it wasn’t what he is known for painting.  He is most famous for painting the native people of New Mexico.
